Car Accident Lawyer Palm Beach & Broward County
With offices in Plantation, Delray Beach attorneys Marc P. Lyons and Philip M. Snyder aggressively represent car accident victims across South Florida.
Car accidents are the “bread and butter” of our practice. Relying on our experience as former prosecutors, we pride ourselves on aggressively fighting for victims.
We build relationships with our clients to better present their damages to an insurance adjuster or jury.
Everyone has passions. Some people love playing golf or tennis, others love yoga or reading. Some people live to play with their kids; other love traveling. We repeatedly ask our clients probing questions to find out “how this car accident has affected you” and “what have you lost as a result”. Armed with this information, we focus your claim about why you should recover for what [passions] were taken away from you (i.e. what amount of money will make you whole). This is different from most personal injury attorneys who focus on how you should be rewarded for your injuries. Juries don’t want to reward victims. Juries want to make people whole. Juries award more money to people they can relate to / empathize with. By understanding some basic psychology, we correctly change the focus of the ask. As a result, we consistently receive more money than other attorneys in Broward County.
In large part due to our backgrounds, we take victim rights seriously and pride ourselves in extracting maximum value for our clients. Check out our reviews from former clients. They love that we are accessible and compassionate.
We are not a car accident mill. When you hire us, Mr. Lyons or Mr. Snyder will personally handle your case, not a paralegal or first year associate. We will not settle until you feel like you are made whole. You should be compensated for missing out on your passions and “watching from the sidelines”. You deserve more than just your medical bills – your loss of enjoyment of life should command significant value. Let us make the insurance company feel your pain.
In the past five years alone, Mr. Lyons and Mr. Snyder have recovered over $25 million for victims just like you by using these principles.
Although many cases resolve pre-suit (before litigation), from day one we collectively plan and implement a strategy as if your case will be going to trial. Like building a house, each case needs a proper foundation. We continuously update you on the “ins and outs” of how we build your case, so you have a better understanding of how we add value. This allows us to avoid common pitfalls that will decrease the value of your case in the event of litigation.
We are always available to answer any questions you may have, and we will listen to your concerns. We are compassionate to your injuries and how they have disrupted and impacted your life. Our compassion allows us to better argue to the insurance company on how this crash has negatively affected your enjoyment of life and activities of daily living.
Again, we do our best to settle cases without litigation. We are risk-adverse by nature. However, if we feel you are being taken advantage of and the insurance company is not taking your claim seriously, we will file a lawsuit and take the insurance company to task. We are aggressive, so you do not have to be.
Remember that even seemingly minor injuries can disrupt your life. Don’t let someone tell you that your back pain is insignificant or “just deal with it”. You should be compensated for time away from your job, time away from your children, time away from your passions and the inability to perform the activities you enjoy, such as golf, yoga, tennis or fishing. These are “value-generators” that are often missed or overlooked by less-experienced attorneys or PI mills.
It’s important to never accept an offer from the insurance company without first speaking to an attorney. Let us explain how we can help. The consultation is always free.
Additionally, we have also had great success representing victims involved in UBER/LYFT accidents, accidents involving drunk drivers, accidents with commercial trucks, and accidents with pedestrians. In some of these cases, we have recovered in excess of one million dollars.
Call us now to speak with one of experienced car accident attorneys. We can also cater to Spanish speaking clients. Let us guide you through the legal process and help ensure that you get every dollar you deserve.
There is no fee to you unless we successfully recover money for your injuries.

What are common injuries after a car crash?
The most common injuries after a car crash are injuries to your lower neck and lower back.
During a crash, your head is whipped back and forth (i.e. whiplash). This trauma oftentimes damages the discs at base of your neck at cervical 5-6 or cervical 6-7. A herniated disc could cause localized pain or numbness and tingling down your neck to your hands and fingers.
The lower back is the weakest part of your spine. It is common for our clients to suffer injuries to their lumbar spine at L4-5 or L5-S1. Associated pain could include numbness and tingling in your feet and toes.
Even in low impact cases, we have had clients suffer severe injuries to their neck and lower back. You should always get checked out by a doctor who specializes int the spine following a car accident.
Some other common injuries after a car crash include:
- Headaches
- Numbness and tingling to extremities
- Loss of strength in extremities
- Mid back
- Torn shoulder
- Torn knee (or broken kneecap if collision with dashboard)
- Knees and Feet
- Torn hip
- Burns (especially from airbags or seatbelt)
- Broken Ribs
- Broken Bones (i.e. broken wrist from gripping steering wheel)
- Brain Injuries (although less common in most cases, are common in cases with significant impact). If you believe you have suffered a brain injury (i.e. concussion, blurry vision, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light), you should immediately go to the hospital.
Do I need a personal injury attorney?
A skilled personal injury attorney will almost always be able to get you substantially more compensation than you would get by negotiating on your own. Negotiating with insurance adjusters and defense counsel is what we do for a living. Insurance companies hate risk. We increase their risk by potentially taking the case in front of a jury. This uncertain outcome in turn increases the value of your claim. We also can see through their “lip service”. We know what other similar cases settle for. We’re not guessing in the dark.
What is my car accident case worth?
There are many factors to take into consideration when determining the value of a car accident case. Some factors include: (1) whether there is contested or clear liability; (2) the severity of property damage; (3) the severity of injuries; (4) the length of treatment; (5) the types of treatment; (6) whether there is any “invasive” treatment, such as injections or surgery; (7) your out-of-pocket medical bills or boardable medical bills; (8) your future prognosis and likelihood of future treatment; (9) your age; (10) possible pre-existing conditions.
An experienced personal injury attorney can rebut the defense’s arguments that ALL your current complaints are related to a past injury. Most people have complained of neck or back pain at some point in their life. We will not let the insurance company shirk their responsibilities by blaming an injury from years prior.
